It is imperative that we face adversity with a positive response... The negativity that we encounter is directed at us in an effort to funnel our energy into a box that can be used to detain or place us in bondage. One of our biggest challenges that we face is to use the "bad" to propel us to greater heights... Harriet Tubman's response to the cruelty and wretchedness of slavery was not only to escape herself, but to return and become the leader of the Underground Railroad. She was beaten and whipped as a child numerous times by various slave owners. She suffered a traumatic head wound as a result of being hurt by an irate slave owner. Yet she overcame disabling seizures, headaches and spells of hypersomnia. After her escape in 1849, she immediately returned to rescue some of her relatives. She lead 13 missions and led to freedom over 70 others. During the Civil War, she became the first woman to lead an armed expedition, guiding the raid on the Combahee River, which liberated more than 700 slaves. Now 'that' is a positive response.

In essence, we can never be defeated as long as we refuse to quit.
"In the faces of adversity, we must be strong. In the shadows of darkness, Jah is the light. In the clutches of defeat, resistance is Victory."  Ahmad-Malik

Now, more than ever, we must focus our hearts on creating a way out of no way. We must let our actions be a POSITIVE RESPONSE in all precarious situations, tapping into our ancestral wisdom and authentic toughness. We shall overcome any and all obstacles when we invest in being the best that we can be. It is imperative that we realign our highest mind with vigorous productivity that is augmented by a burning desire to uplift not only our self, but to empower and assist others in making those same steps. We are Family! We owe it to our souls to Big Up our community through a resurrection of Positive Response. A little bit of positivity will always outweigh a whole bunch of negativity any day. So don't whine cause its time to shine!
